Introduction

HKCH serves as the tertiary referral centre for complex, serious and uncommon paediatric dermatology problems requiring multidisciplinary management, providing diagnosis and treatment for patients in need from birth to 18 years of age territory‑wide.

Scope of Services

The paediatric dermatology team provides specialist-led assessment and comprehensive management for children with:

• Skin problems of systemic or multisystem diseases requiring coordinated care with immunology, rheumatology, oncology, surgery and other specialties
• Vascular anomalies requiring advanced and multidisciplinary care
• Genetic diseases with skin problems and rare genodermatoses
• Dermatological complications in medically complex patients, including those with organ failure, immunodeficiency, metabolic diseases or requiring long‑term medical technologies

Our team collaborates closely with multidisciplinary partners to deliver advanced diagnostics, personalized treatment plans, procedural dermatology services, and comprehensive long-term care for children with chronic or rare skin conditions. For specialized dermatological diseases and treatments, we work in partnership with the Kowloon East Cluster Children’s Skin Centre at the United Christian Hospital.
