- The Orthopaedic Oncology unit at HKCH takes care of any patient under 18 years old with orthopaedic malignant tumour, suspected orthopaedic malignant tumour, borderline malignancy or difficult benign orthopaedic tumour
- Orthopaedic tumours are bone / soft tissue / skin tumours in the spine, paraspinal region, sacrum, pelvis and/or four limbs (some of them are also managed by spine tumour surgeons)

Referrals may come from the following sources:
- The three orthopaedic tumour centres at Prince of Wales Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Queen Mary Hospital
- Interdepartmental referral within HKCH
- Through the orthopaedic oncology outpatient clinic

- Referral letters could be faxed to the specialist outpatient clinic (fax: 3512 7579)
