Supporting Children with Complex Communication Needs (CCN) in Hospitals: Basic Training in Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC)
The programme equips paediatric nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals with essential knowledge, skills and tools for effective communication, empowering them to deliver better care to hospitalised children with Complex Communication Needs (CCN). Additionally, this course emphasises the importance of recognising the physical and psychological needs of these children and seeks to enhance the understanding of CCN which can impact clinical outcomes and patient safety.
