Dress Well

Hong Kong Children's Hospital
Chief Hospital Administrator
(Administrative Services)
Miscelle Kwok :
The Hong Kong Children's Hospital is actually quite different from other public hospitals. We have boldly introduced more colors and incorporated themes like forest, trees and animal characters in the design to help ease children's anxiety.

Yes, the environment here is very different from other hospitals. If we could integrate these elements in the design of the patient clothing, I'm sure the children would love it. It also echoes well with the surrounding.

Miscelle Kwok :
The children are facing many challenges in the Hospital too. We hope to design a series of patient clothing that can make them more comfortable and happier and can relieve their stress. The patient clothing we brought here today is what children are wearing now in other hospitals. We can use them as reference.

Eva Chan :
The current design is rather simple. As you just said about the colorful design of the hospital, we can try to add them to the children patients’ clothing.

Miscelle Kwok :
I think we could design something that is convenient for those who need intravenous therapy such as chemo. If the top could be opened along the side with buttons, children would not have to take their clothes off when they receive their injections.

Eva Chan :
I am thinking of how to incorporate the colorful and energetic design of the hospital in the children patients' clothing.

Lesly Ho :
I found that they use patterns of the forest and different animals in their interior design. Shall we use silhouettes of Disney Friends on the clothing? Do you think the children will be happier seeing them?

Eva Chan :
That would work, let's try!
