Patient Resource Centre
Introduction
The Patient Resource Centre strives to build a caring and mutual support community through family and patient-centred initiatives, and participation of volunteers and community partners.
Scope of Services
- Patient and carer empowerment and support: organize programmes such as health talks, workshops, festive celebrations and ward visits to enhance the quality of life of patients and carers.
- Support to patient groups: facilitate patient groups in organizing activities such as peer support sharing sessions, ward visits and empowerment workshops so as to establish a mutual supportive network among themselves.
- Volunteer services and development: develop, promote and coordinate volunteer services for HA patients and their families. Continuous training and support would be provided to hospital volunteers.
- Community engagement and partnership: coordinate patient activities and programmes in partnership with community stakeholders and non-governmental organizations to facilitate patients’ recovery and reintegration into the community.
