Private outpatient consultation fee does not include the supply of medicines, prostheses, pathology services, radiology services, diagnostic / therapeutic procedures, operations, rehabilitation and outreach services. For details, please refer to the Gazette – Non-Subsidised Charges (Appendix II).

Only 2nd class and high dependency unit (neonatal / paediatric intensive care unit) private inpatient services are available in HKCH.

Private inpatient maintenance fee covers general nursing, core pathology investigations, catering and domestic services. Doctor fee (attendance / consultation), medication, prostheses, other pathology services, radiology services, diagnostic / therapeutic procedures, operations, rehabilitation and outreach services will be separately charged. For details, please refer to the Gazette – Non-Subsidised Charges (Appendix II). Hospital staff will also explain to the patient according to his / her specific situation.

Upon admission, patients are required to pay a deposit which is determined according to the category of operation / nature of treatment.

Interim bills will be issued periodically during hospitalization, and the bills should be fully settled at once (the deposit paid cannot be used to offset the bill amount). A final bill will be issued after discharge. Patients should settle any outstanding amount (after deducting the deposit) as soon as possible. Any remaining deposit balance will be refunded.
