Nephrology

Introduction

As a tertiary paediatric nephrology unit, we provide consultation and treatment for children with complicated acute and chronic kidney diseases in the territory. We are the only centre under the Hospital Authority to conduct paediatric renal replacement therapy programmes including chronic peritoneal dialysis, haemodialysis and kidney transplant. Our multi-disciplinary team consists of experienced paediatricians, surgeons, renal nurses, pharmacists, clinical psychologists, dietitians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, medical social workers and play specialists.

Scope of Services

We serve children with complicated kidney diseases in in-patient, out-patient and ambulatory settings. Our expertise covers a wide range of paediatric nephrology conditions including the following:
