They seek medical help everywhere, but the answers remain vague and unclear. One day, Felix discovers an extraordinary place.
Felix:
Hong Kong Children's Hospital
Hello! I’d like to make an appointment for my son.
Voiceover:
At the Hong Kong Children's Hospital, every corner is designed for children and their families. Kolden visits a doctor at the clinic. The doctor patiently listens to his condition and performs some initial checks. Next, Kolden arrives at the Department of Radiology for imaging examinations. The fun environment, friendly healthcare staff, and smooth procedures bring peace of mind to the whole family. After detailed investigations and thorough discussions by a multidisciplinary team of specialists, Kolden is diagnosed with a very rare disease. Although the news is a heavy blow, the truth becomes the starting point for treatment.

The Hong Kong Children's Hospital specialises in treating serious, complex and rare paediatric diseases, providing comprehensive diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation services for children from birth to 18 years old. The hospital is the hub of complex and rare diseases, experts and advanced equipment, while providing a healing environment tailored to the unique needs of children.

The hospital has conducted many investigations for Kolden, including genetic testing. The laboratory is equipped with various sophisticated equipment, capable of accurately identifying the cause of illnesses, which helps to formulate targeted treatment plans and monitor effectiveness.
Kolden:
Why are there (Paediatric Intensive Care Unit) so many people? Is he very serious?
Nurse:
Don’t be afraid, the Children’s Hospital has very advanced medical technology. Our healthcare staff will take good care of him.
Voiceover:
The Hong Kong Children's Hospital is the designated hospital in the city for paediatric haematopoietic stem cell, heart and kidney transplantation. It is also the only paediatric ECMO and cardiac catheterization centre. The hospital continuously introduces cutting-edge medical technologies to improve treatment outcomes, including CAR-T cell therapy, haploidentical haematopoietic stem cell transplant, ABO-incompatible living donor kidney transplant, and more. It also performed Hong Kong’s first gene therapy and the youngest-ever heart transplant surgery.

Sometimes, the best medicine is genuine care and emotional support. Here, laughter can melt away the shadows of illness.
Kolden:
Did you notice there are different animal decorations around? Octopuses, kangaroos, and even monkeys.
Candy:
Of course there’s a monkey, because it looks like you!

In fact, because of a genetic mutation, Harry suffers from a neuromuscular disease. In addition to affecting his mobility, it also gradually impairs bodily functions. Using technology, the hospital can analyse Harry’s gait, balance and other data to help the multidisciplinary clinical team develop personalised treatment and improve his quality of life. The doctor has also invited him to participate in a clinical trial, wishing to bring new hope to his condition.

Candy’s condition suddenly worsens. She is rushed into the ICU for emergency treatment and close observation. This is where the most critically ill children stay. Some have just undergone major surgery; some rely on medical equipment to sustain their lives. Hidden between the machines, this paper flower carries strength and symbolises encouragement for each other.

The day of Kolden’s surgery finally arrives. When he learns he could choose a car to drive into the operating theatre, his nervousness turns into courage.
Nurse:
Why don’t I take you to have a rest first?
Felix:
Okay, thank you.
Nurse:
This way, please.
Felix:
Doctor!
Doctor:
Hello! Kolden’s dad and mom. First of all, I have good news to share. The surgery is completed and went very smoothly. Just like I mentioned before…
