Dietetics

Introduction

Our dietitians are qualified healthcare professionals who assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems in paediatric patients. We aim at providing and promoting optimum nutrition care to facilitate children’s recovery, growth and development through medical nutrition therapy.

Scope of Services

Clinical dietetic service
  • Assess the growth and nutritional status of patients
  • Plan and implement medical nutrition therapies for patients and evaluate outcomes
  • Educate patients and their family on dietary modification through individual or group counselling
  • Participate in nutrition or dietetic-related projects and researches
  • Provide dietetic training to other healthcare professionals and students from academic institutions
Nutrition Formula Supply Centre
  • Prepare infant formula and special feeds to inpatients
  • Monitor the quality, sanitation, safety and security of the milk formula service
Catering service
  • Collaborate with the Catering Department to provide balanced diet and therapeutic diet to inpatients
  • Monitor the quality, sanitation, safety and security of the catering service
