Neurosurgery
Introduction
Our unit provides consultation and treatment for newborns, neonates, children and adolescents with congenital or acquired complex neurosurgical conditions. Our multi-disciplinary team (e.g. neuro-oncology joint clinic) consists of experienced doctors from the Oncology, Neurology and Endocrinology units, as well as clinical psychologists, dietitians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and medical social workers, offering one-stop service tailored for each child.
Scope of Services
We serve children with complicated neurosurgical diseases in in-patient, out-patient and ambulatory settings. Our expertise covers a wide range of paediatric neurosurgical conditions including:
- Brain tumour
- Hydrocephalus
- Spina bifida and tethered cord syndrome
- Craniosynostosis
- Epilepsy surgery
- Neuro-vascular problems (e.g. Moyamoya disease)
