Our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is led by a highly specialized team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive care for critically ill patients requiring intensive care support. We integrate cutting-edge technology and scientific research to deliver exceptional medical care.

Our primary goal is to offer a high-quality specialist-led service in a child-friendly environment. Our skilled and devoted staff are committed to addressing the physical and emotional needs of both children and their parents, ensuring the best possible outcomes for each child under our care.

Scope of Services

Our PICU provides multi-disciplinary critical care services supporting the following patients:

  • Paediatric patients under various medical subspecialties, including cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology and nutrition, haematology and oncology, metabolic medicine, nephrology, neurology, respiratory medicine and rheumatology and immunology
  • Paediatric patients under various surgical subspecialties, including paediatric surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, and maxillofacial surgery
  • Solid organ and bone marrow transplant recipients
  • Extracorporeal life support therapies, such as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support and ventricular assisted devices (VAD)
  • Extracorporeal blood purification and renal replacement therapies
  • On-site resuscitation support within the hospital complex
